Bigsby Pedal Limited Offer

BIGSBY PEDAL

The Idea to make a BIGSBY Pedal was already fully fleshed out even before we had finished developing the PLUS Pedal - we simply had no idea how to approach a giant company like Fender and say:
"Hi! We'd like to turn the BIGSBY into a pedal!"

The 2019 Summer NAMM show in Nashville was the turning point - we’d just announced the PLASMA COIL - our collaboration with Jack White and Third Man Records, and we finally thought that we might have enough so called “Street cred”.

At the show we gave a detailed presentation of the BIGSBY Pedal concept to a small group of Fender executives and soon afterwards we received the "green light":
“BIGSBY Pedal - sounds great! Go Build it!

The guys return to Riga in high spirits and with a clear strategy:

“We need to find someone who can write an almost flawless real-time polyphonic pitch-shifting algorithm from scratch.”

Bored Electrodynamics engineer Kārlis Ķimsis joins Gamechanger Audio in search of a slightly more stimulating work environment, and begins work on the BIGSBY Pedal's groundbreaking polyphonic pitch-shifting algorithm. The algorithm takes full advantage of a state-of-the-art SHARC Processor that our team managed to acquire before its actual commercial release. It takes around 6 months for Kārlis to deliver the first “playable” algorithm.

Meanwhile, Kristaps, Ilja and Fricis are busy developing what might be the most badass pedal design of all time - a slick Retro-futuristic custom-moulded aluminium enclosure with sunk roller knobs and a spring-loaded tempered steel foot-pedal that’s attached to a reconstruction of the iconic BIGSBY Tailpiece.

Kārlis will keep perfecting the BIGSBY Pedal’s algorithm for another year and a half and finally, in June 2021 we launch a pre-order round exclusively for our fans and subscribers.

This pre-order round allows us to bring the BIGSBY Pedal into manufacturing relatively quickly and the first 500 signed BIGSBY Pedals ship out in November 2021.

Here's the full story of how the BIGSBY Pedal came to life!
