VOCODER

The MOTOR Synth has a built-in 16 band digital VOCODER Engine with adjustable BAND GAINS, OPERATING FREQUENCY RANGE and individual BANDWIDTHS.

The CARRIER signal is called IN (INPUT) as it uses signal form the IN Jack.
The MODULATOR signal is the signal generated by the MOTOR Synth's three Voices (MOTOR V1 & V2, DCO).

  • BANDS - selects between 4, 8, 12, 16 band settings
  • FC - center frequency of carrier graphic equalizer
  • Q - gain of center frequency band.
  • VOC ON/OFF - enables or disables VOCODER signal processing engine
  • BLEND - amount of input signal to be mixed to master
  • IN dB - input signal gain (carrier)
  • LSB (left side band) and RSB (right side band) - defines operating frequency region
  • BW - defines bandwidth of individual bands

The IN and OUT level measure bars show the current RMS levels of the CARRIER (IN) and resulting OUTPUT SIGNAL (OUT).

Notes:
  • Only 3 of 6 modulation slots (1A, 2A, 3A) are active while the VOCODER is ON.
