NRPN MAP

 
  • NRPN value change is supported only using CC6 (DataEntry MSB) and CC38 (DataEntry LSB). CC96 (DataIncrement) and CC97 (DataDecrement) are not supported.
  • To reset NRPN controller link (stop to control NRPN with CC6 & CC38), both NRPN_LSB (CC98) and NRPN_MSB (CC99) must be set to 127.
  • DataEntry_MSB and LSB always work together, there are no separate LSB and and MSB NRPNs. If fine tuning is required, just send value using DataEntry_LSB (CC38) after registering parameter to control via NRPN_LSB (CC98) and NRPN_MSB (CC99).
 
 
 
Notes: 
  • Sound parameters, also saved in presets, addresses start from NRPN address 0 (see NRPN list)
  • Global parameters, addresses start from NRPN address 8192 (see NRPN list)
  • There are 4 types of NRPN to parameter value conversion schemes.
  • Unipolar Integer parameter (positive values and zero)
  • Unipolar Float parameter (positive values and zero)
  • Bipolar Integer parameter (with negative and positive value ranges crossing zero)
  • Bipolar Float parameter (with negative and positive value ranges crossing zero)
  • For Bipolar parameters the center value (value = 0) matches NRPN value 8192.
  • For Float parameters values are spread out evenly to match NRPN value range 0…16383
  • For Integer parameters values are matched to the Motor Synth's internal value range.
